(Londres, 9 de noviembre de 2025 – EFE / MundoUR).- El rey Carlos III presidió dos minutos de silencio por los caídos en todas las guerras durante el llamado Domingo del Recuerdo, cuando el Reino Unido honra a sus militares muertos en combate, y depositó una corona de amapolas rojas ante el monumento del Cenotafio en Londres.
El monarca, vestido con uniforme de mariscal de campo, encabezó el servicio nacional de conmemoración en la céntrica avenida Whitehall, acompañado por la reina Camila y otros miembros de la familia real.

La corona de Carlos III, confeccionada con 41 amapolas de tela montadas sobre hojas negras, reproduce el diseño que utilizaba su abuelo, el rey Jorge VI, según indicó el Palacio de Buckingham.
Desde el balcón central del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores, la reina Camila y la princesa de Gales, Catalina, siguieron la ceremonia, mientras que Guillermo, heredero al trono, vestido con uniforme de la Real Fuerza Aérea, también depositó una corona.
