(Londres, 13 de junio de 2026 – MundoUR).- Este sábado, miles de personas se acercaron a Londres desde distintos lugares del Reino Unido y de otros países para disfrutar de «Trooping the Colour», el desfile oficial por el cumpleaños del rey Carlos III.
En el acto, Carlos III estuvo acompañado por la reina Camila; los príncipes de Gales, William y Kate, junto a sus hijos. En esta ocasión, el monarca no montó a caballo, sino que hizo el recorrido en el carruaje.
Por su parte, el príncipe William desfiló a caballo en la formación de los coroneles reales junto a sus tíos, la princesa Ana y el príncipe Eduardo, duque de Edimburgo; en la actualidad los tres únicos miembros de la familia real británica que siguen montando en este cumpleaños. Ni el príncipe Harry ni su esposa, Meghan Markle, estuvieron presentes. Tampoco el expríncipe Andrés.
Vanity Fair recalcó que estuvieron estaban también los duques de Gloucester y el de Kent, primos de la reina Isabel II.
El rey Carlos III cumplió 77 años el 14 de noviembre.
